Sexual assault to children affects children emotionally. In the article of Child Sexual Abuse states that sexual abuse creates a loss of trust, feelings of guilt and self-abusive behavior. This can also lead to depression, identity confusion, loss of self esteem and other serious emotional problems. This matters because these issues can lead to having difficulties with intimate relationships later in life. This issue also affects children physically. In a research that was conducted by Department Of Justice explains that children can becoming alcoholics, drug addict, causing themselves self harm. This shows that this is a big issue because these people can harm themselves without knowing. Many kids believe that consuming this substance would eliminate their pain or memories that they contain. Consuming these sustain damage people little by little.

- Pain, discoloration, bleeding or discharges in genitals, anus or mouth.
- Persistent or recurring pain during urination and bowel movements.
- Wetting and soiling accidents unrelated to toilet training.

This means that these children go through fear, helpless/ powerless, guilt, shame, anger, sadness, and flashback. This causes a lot of issues because having flashback are like having nightmares.
