Many people have created organizations to help prevent this issue from happening once again, but the only thing it could happen is decreased the number of victims. There would be at least one child that would go through sex abuse because of the root causes. We can not eliminate mental issues that people have, which causes them to harm children. Mental issue can be manage by medicine or by a help of a professional.
The only way people can notice that their children might go through sexual assault is by the signals that these children give as they continue their life. Children Refuse to allow a child sufficient privacy or to make their own decisions on personal matters. Insist on physical affection such as kissing, hugging or wrestling even when the child clearly does not want it. Are overly interested in the sexual development of a child or teenager. Insist on time alone with a child with no interruptions. Spend most of their spare time with children and have little interest in spending time with people their own age. Regularly offer to baby-sit children for free or take children on overnight outings alone. Buy children expensive gifts or give them money for no apparent reason. Frequently walk in on children/teenagers in the bathroom. Treat a particular child as a favorite, making them feel 'special' compared with others in the family. Pick on a particular child.
Children who have went through sexual assault are scared to report it to families because they are either scared or believe that their parents might not believe them. A research that was conducted by the U.S department of justice state name Youth Victimization Prevalence and Implications states thirteen percent of sexual assault cases were reported to the police, 5.8 percent to child protect services, 5 percent to school authorities, and 1.3 percent to other authorities. The 86 percent that are left were not reported. Having children not reporting this issue could cause more people to be a victim of sexual assault because predictors could continue doing this.
“Sexual assault is a term that refers to unwanted sexual act against or without a person’s consent. This type of assault encompasses more than violent physical incidents—sexual assault refers to any sexual, physical, verbal or visual act that forces a person against their will to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention.
The precise legal definitions of sexual assault often vary by states, countries and organizations, and they can sometimes be confusing. Each state’s legal definition is not the same as the federal government’s. States often use different wording to refer to the same type of crime. If you are looking for a precise legal definition, the best reference would be to check the law in your state, which you can do here.”
